SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION: For adults who have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, it is now time to complete your initiation with the Sacrament of Confirmation. His Grace, Archbishop Nicholas Chia will be at our Parish to celebrate this sacrament on Sun, 7 Dec at the 5.30pm mass. The Adult Confirmation Program sessions will be conducted by Fr Gerard Weerakoon and held on Weds, 5, 12, 19, 26 Nov and 3 Dec (8 pm to 9.30pm). MASS FOR THE SICK : Mon, Oct 27, 4pm The Ministry for the Pastoral Care of the Sick is organizing a Mass for the elderly and sick in our parish on Oct 27, which is a public holiday. A counter will be set up on the weekend of 18 and 19 Oct, for you to register the names of the sick and elderly who will be attending this Mass.
THOMSON EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS DAY 2008 (EP Day): Our parish has been invited by the Thomson Community to participate in this EP Day on Sat, 25 Oct, 10am - 4pm at Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery in Bright Hill Rd. The event aims to promote emergency preparedness cum racial & religious harmony. Highlights include racial & harmony (RRH) variety shows, RRH tour, exhibitions, food and games stalls. KKIHS will be conducting a Life in Spirit Seminar (Seminar Hidup Baru) at Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary retreat house (IHM), 24 Highland Road Singapore 549115, from Fri, 10 Oct to Sun, 12 Oct (overnight stay). It will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia by Sr. Yosepha P. Karm, Rm Gabriel, CSE and Sr. Rufina, P. Karm with the theme "Feel His Presence". Charges will be $40 (Adult) and $20 (Student). L9S FAMILY MEETING WITH FR GERARD WEERAKOON: For those who have not confirmed their appointments, please contact your teen's catechists as soon as possible. Please submit your reflection sheet to "Secondary Catechists" Letterbox soonest.
Gathering@Canteen: We notice a growing numbers of family members waiting around the church premises during catechism sessions and would like to invite them to the canteen for a place to refresh, fellowship and pray. You can look forward to a simple refreshment station, a library of books, and prayer corner for your time with God.
At 2.45pm and 4.15pm, you can choose to join the Parent Intercessory Group at the prayer corner, who will conduct prayer session to intercede for our children and catechists.
We are starting on Sat, 11 Oct from 2.30pm to 5.00pm. It is open on Saturdays when there are catechism sessions. However, if the canteen is used for another purpose, please look out for informational signage outside the canteen for an alternative venue.
Marian Devotion for L7, L8 & L9 students: The Legion of Mary is invited to give our L7 to L9 students more insight to the acts of devotion focusing on Mother Mary on Sun, 26 Oct at 2.00pm to 4pm at the Attic. This event replaces all Secondary Catechism Classes for the weekend of 25/26 Oct.

CANONIZATION OF BL.ALPHONSA, 12TH OCT: First Saint from Kerala Church and the first woman saint from India. There will be a Solemn High Mass in Malayalam in the Church of St Stephen, Aljunied at 3.00pm on that day.
