PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS:

OPENING MASS - OCTOBER, MONTH OF THE ROSARY on Wed, 1 Oct.

(St. Therese of Lisieux) Rosary: 7.30pm followed by Mass at 8.00pm 

A family that prays together stays together. We invite all families of the parish to come as one, to pray the rosary and celebrate the opening mass which follows the recitation of the Rosary. 

A special Family Prayer Card will be handed out, as well as donation tins to estate representatives at 7.00pm. There will be NO evening mass at 6.00pm on Wed, 1 Oct

PROJECT SAVE @ THOMSON: Our parish is playing host on Sun, 28 Sept to about 100 volunteers from around the Thomson Community area including a few of our parishioners for the private estate collection. Event kickoff will be at our Attic (level 4) at 9.00am led by Mr Hri Kumar Nair (MP for Bishan Toa Payoh GRC). We thank all parishioners for supporting the recycling project over the past two weeks.

DIGNITY IN THE HOME: A guide book for Catholic employers of foreign domestic helpers is available this weekend, please take a copy each for your families.

KKIHS will be conducting a Life in Spirit Seminar (Seminar Hidup Baru) at Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary retreat house (IHM), 24 Highland Road Singapore 549115, from Fri, 10 Oct to Sun, 12 Oct (overnight stay). It will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia by Sr. Yosepha P. Karm, Rm Gabriel, CSE and Sr. Rufina, P. Karm with the theme "Feel His Presence". Charges will be $40 (Adult) and $20 (Student). FIDES: Fresh Brownies to go!! Come support FIDES, SMU's Catholic Community, as we fund raise for our first mission trip to Cambodia this December. Donations and love offerings will go to the Cambodian orphans of Tuol Kork School. Many thanks for your generosity.

BEFRIENDING JESUS: Catholic News writer and author Daniel Tay will be at all the parish Masses this weekend to sell his book Befriending Jesus. The book costs $4. Please refer to the back of the bulletin for more details.

CANTEEN: Active or Inactive Catholics, the Landings ministry returns to serve you a fine selection of breakfast this morning. We invite you to join us and at the same time come to know more about what we do.

Children's Day '08: The masses for the weekend of 4 & 5 Oct will be dedicated to our Children, to honour the way that children's lives enrich our own. There will be a special blessing for all the children at every mass on that weekend.  There will be no catechism classes for the Primary Levels on the weekend of 4 & 5 Oct, as we hope that parents being the first and foremost catechists of their own children, will take this opportunity to share and emphasis Jesus' love for them.
