PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary: All are invited to celebrate Mother Mary's Birthday on Mon, 8 Sep 2008. Rosary recitation at 7.30pm followed by Mass at 8.00pm.  Please remember to pen your birthday wishes to Mother Mary at the entrance of the Church.  The usual 6.00pm weekday mass on that day will be cancelled.

PARISH ASSEMBLY 2008: The priests of the parish would like to thank the Parish Pastoral Council and the Ex-Co (2007 - 2008) for all their contribution in building up the parish for past two years and for organising the Parish Assembly last weekend. Do keep the new Councilors in your prayers as they continue to meet up over the next three months for the Pastoral Planning of 2009 - 2010. Pls refer to the back page for the Post Assembly follow up and the PPC orientation.

SECOND COLLECTION this weekend is to defray the cost of the Catholic News.

CANTEEN: The canteen this week is run by the St Thomas Aquinas SCC of Thomson View Condo.  Do come and indulge in home made mee siam, chicken curry, rendang, etc...

CHILDREN & TEEN CATECHETICS

L9S FAMILY MEETING WITH FR GERARD WEERAKOON:   For those who have not confirmed their appointments, please contact your teen's catechists as soon as possible.  Please note that all L9s must return their reflection sheets by this weekend to "Secondary Catechists" Letterbox.

CALLED ON A MISSION: In support of L9s post-confirmation mission trips

CANTEEN The L9s will be running the canteen on Sun, 14 Sep and we ask you to spread the word to your families and friends to savour the food that they are preparing.

ENTRANCE RITUAL FOR L8 YOUTHS:  We invite all L8 youths, parents and godparents to attend the mass on Sun, 14 Sep at 5.30pm.  The L8s will be invited to express their desire to continue in their process of preparation leading to the Sacrament of Confirmation and it also serves to inform and seek prayer support from the parish community.  L8 Youths are to gather outside the Main Church by 4.45pm.

EXAM MASS:  It will be held on Sun, 21 Sep 2008 at 3.00pm for all Catechism Students.  The celebrant is Fr Gerard Weerakoon.  We encourage all students to come with their families and godparents.
