DAY OF OBLIGATION: ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY (Fri, 15 Aug).    Mass times on Thu, 14 Aug 7.30pm and on Fri, 15 Aug 6.30am & 7.30pm.

NATIONAL DAY (Sat, 9 Aug) MASS at 9.00am (no 6.30am mass) in the Chapel. 5.30pm (Sunset Mass) as usual.

PARISH ASSEMBLY SURVEY: In preparation of our Parish Assembly on Sun 31 Aug, we will be conducting a survey next weekend during all masses to gather the top three pastoral concerns which will be discussed during the assembly. Please refer to the back page for the survey sample and to give some thoughts to the concerns.

TRAINING OF ALTAR SERVERS BY FR. GERARD WEERAKOON on Fri, 8 Aug at 8pm.  Meet outside the main church.

RAYMOND ANTHONY FERNANDO will be here on Sat, 9 Aug and Sun, 10 Aug to promote his special children bedtime story book and his exquisite music cd production with Al Dizon.

BLESSING OF EXPECTANT MOTHERS at all masses this weekend. Members of the Infant Baptism Ministry are on duty to assist in registration for Sep baptism.

SECOND COLLECTION this weekend is to defray the cost of the Catholic News.

CANTEEN Members of the Flower ministry will be serving breakfast this morning. The Flower ministry was one of the groups who responded to our recent appeal. Come and give thanks to them and be rewarded with good tasty food!

CHIDREN & TEEN CATECHETICS

NATIONAL DAY HOLIDAY:  Please note that there will be no Catechism Classes for Primary and Secondary Levels on the weekend of 8 & 9 Aug.

CALLED ON A MISSION:  Our confirmation youths (L9), will be going for their post-confirmation mission trip to Bicol (Philippines) and Batam (Indonesia) in Dec.  As we are sending them out as our missionaries, please keep them in your prayers. FAITH EDUCATION

CHILDREN'S LITURGY will be held at the Chapel during 9am mass on the following Sundays: 17 Aug, 24 Aug & 31 Aug.

RCIY/RCIC/RCIA:  28 Inquirers and 4 Candidates will be celebrating the Rite of Acceptance and the Rite of Welcoming on Sat, 2 Aug at the 5.30pm Sunset Mass.  We ask the parish community to remember our Inquirers and Candidates in prayers and join us as we celebrate these important rites.
