Feast Day Mass and Celebration

Event Date:
Sunday, 11 May 2008 11:00am
Event Description:

"Healing of the Family"

The basic cell of society is the family, and the breakdown of the family system leads to a breakdown in society. The parish is a family, and when its members are being assailed and broken up by the pressures of our time, we must be a voice and shepherd our flock in restoring the original values of creations by virtue of our Baptism and mission in the Kingdom of God through the building up of our families.

No family is perfect; each family is made up of members who are products of their family system, and each carry within themselves varying levels of brokenness. The healing of the family starts with each individual member of the family, thus it’s important to have the humility to be aware and recognized our own brokenness and our need of God’s healing touch.

“As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the world in which we live in” by John Paul II
